INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

  • This form of therapy involves discussing the issues an individual deems distressing on an emotional, cognitive or physical level.
  • The process focuses on understanding a client’s subjective experiences of certain situations, and where the therapist aims to facilitate a comfortable psychological climate, wherein the client may freely explore, investigate and resolve emotional discomfort.

MARITAL THERAPY

  • Therapy aimed at the resolution of problems of partners who consider themselves a couple. Typically both parties partake in individual and conjoint sessions.
  • Couples are assisted in finding clarity regarding conflict, are facilitated by the use of increasing communication skills and by focusing on theoretical principles in order to achieve a psychological / emotional progression in their relationship.

FAMILY THERAPY

  • Therapy involving the family as a whole, rather than singling out specific individuals for independent treatment.
  • Treatment is based on assisting all family members simultaneously in order to facilitate optimal emotional evolvement within family relationship boundaries, more effective communication patterns, and assistance with conflict and role confusion.
