KIM KIDSON
Kim Kidson is a senior Clinical Psychologist (MSc Clin Psych) with ten years experience in equine assisted psychotherapy. She received intensive training in America and facilitated various training workshops, team building and clinics on her farm, Autumn Leaves. Kim is currently the leading expert in equine assisted psychotherapy in South Africa and is also the founder of EAPISA (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Institute of South Africa). Kim is regularly approached to give talks to the public, do interviews on radio and for well known magazines and
newspapers on equine assisted psychotherapy and team building. At present she is busy completing her PhD on equine assisted psychotherapy.
LAURETTE VENTER
Laurette Venter is also a Clinical Psychologist ( MsC Clin Psych). Laurette, a protégé of Kim Kidson, has an accurate and indepth knowledge of equine assisted
psychotherapy. Laurette has been working with Kim in this context for an extended period of time. She underwent training with EAPISA and uses this form of psychotherapy on a daily basis as part of her private practice for individual, marital and family therapy as well as the facilitation of groups. Laurette also plans on completing her PhD on equine assisted psychotherapy.
ROLYNNE RENSLEIGH
Rolynne Rensleigh has been working for Kim Kidson for the past 5 – 6 years as a riding instructor. She facilitates holiday camps for 45 – 55 children regularly and has also completed her training through EAPISA as a Horse Specialist. Rolynne is
currently completing her Equine Behavioural Sciences training. She is first aid level three qualified. Rolynne facilitates equine assisted psychotherapy with individuals, families and groups on a weekly basis as part of her working programme at Autumn Leaves Farm.
